President Muhammadu Buhari’s plan to sell the nation’s
assets as a way of reviving the ailing economy has generated diverse reactions.
According to the informathis an aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, has condemned the
plans to sell off some of the country’s assets. According to him, selling the
national assets because of recession is like selling one’s house because of car
troubles.
He wondered if Buhari will sell Nigerians if selling
national assets does not stop recession.
Recall that some eminent Nigerians among whom are Aliko
Dangote and Senate president, Bukola Saraki, recommended that the country’s
national assets should be sold to pave the way for economic recovery.
