Brazilian football legend Carlos
Alberto has died aged 72, according to the reports.
Alberto, who captained Brazil to
victory at the 1970 World Cup, reportedly died after suffering a heart attack.
Considered one of the greatest
defenders of all time, Alberto scored what is arguably the best World Cup goal
in Brazil’s 4-1 victory over Italy in the final of the 1970 World Cup in
Mexico.
He was capped 53 times for Brazil,
scoring eight goals.
